I know Miami, and know it well. After all, I’ve lived, learned, and worked in Miami for the past four decades, eye-witnessing neighborhoods evolve, mature, or come full circle. I grew up in Surfside, a tony town on Miami Beach where streets are named after poets like Byron Carlyle and Dickens; moved to Bay Harbor Islands, a tranquil island on Miami Beach, after attending the University of Maryland; and then Miami Beach while working as a senior analyst at two prominent, white-shoe law firms in Downtown Miami. Growing up and living here for so many years has loaded me with firsthand knowledge, enabling me to field all sorts of questions about this magical metropolis that is like no other.
